Powering Our World School Session Reports an Increase in Coal Consumption for the Holidays

When grade 3 and 4 students at Richmond School were asked if they thought Alberta's coal consumption would be going up or down in the future, one student student said emphatically that it would be going up. This was due to an unfortunate increase in the number of children that are being naughty and the fact that Santa will have to be giving out far more coal for Christmas than usual.

This was just part of the discussion at four class presentations of Powering Our World, the Green Calgary/Open Streets Events collaboration that brings energy, electricity, transportation, sustainability, and fitness experiences to Calgary schools.
